Three units were dispatched to the roof fire of a building at Magellan Road and Grouper Road just after 5 p.m. The fire was put out by 8 p.m., according to fire officials.

In a text to FLORIDA TODAY, Brevard County fire chief Mark Schollmeyer confirmed that the fire was on the roof of the SpaceX building.

One firefighter was taken to an area hospital for heat exhaustion, but no other injuries were reported. Port operations were not affected by the fire, which remains under investigation.

SpaceX has been leasing a property at 620 Magellan Road since March of this year.
